Aratrice & Fae / Death Party Podcast

Here’s our interview with Aratrice & Fae, the hosts of Death Party podcast.

Aratrice & Fae met at a spooky online gathering place for femme weirdos after both had moved to the Pacific NW. After years of friendship bonding over dark matters and having lots of opinions about things, they eventually realized they also shared a love of writing and podcasts, and an obsession with the macabre, thus Death Party was born.

Describe your podcast in 2 or 3 sentences

Are you intrigued, curious, or scared to death by death?

Join the party! for our ongoing discussion, as each new episode attempts to ease our death anxiety (and maybe yours along the way!) with strange facts, historical Darwinism, and more gallows humor than your weird uncle brings to Thanksgiving dinner.

Pull up a seat at our existential tea party, as we dust off the Ouija board and invite Death in to ask life’s most enduring riddles…what’s it all about? Where do we go after we depart this mortal coil? Why are they named finger sandwiches? Because that’s really misleading.

Why did you start this podcast and what do you love about it?

We met at a spooky online gathering place for femme weirdos after we moved to the Pacific NW. After years of friendship bonding over dark matters and having lots of opinions about things, we eventually realized we also shared a love of writing and podcasts, and an obsession with the macabre, thus Death Party was born.

Who is your target audience?

20 to 50-year-old women with a penchant for dark humor and a desire to assuage their death anxiety by delving deep into morbid topics.

What’s the number 1 thing listeners love about your podcast?

Our snarky sense of humor.

Are you monetizing this podcast? If so, how?

Sort of. We have a tip jar on our website as well as a Patreon set up. We are in the process of giving patrons access to exclusive content to show our appreciation, and are considering ads.

What advice would you give a new podcaster?
