Vicki is a public relations strategist for a large healthcare organization. She proposed a podcast for their 14,000 employees, and it was approved. The purpose is to connect people across the system. She’s currently the only host, and she really enjoys producing this podcast.

How many episodes have you published?

Describe your podcast in 2 or 3 sentences
The purpose is to connect staff across the system through storytelling. Guests share their personal stories and enlighten listeners on the job they do. The one caveat – no leaders are allowed to be guests (they have their own communication channels!).
Why did you start this podcast and what do you love about it?
I started it in November. People are more than their jobs. The outcome I hope for beyond storytelling is to build connections by breaking down assumptions, stereotypes, and implicit biases people harbor when they realize they may have more in common with others than they think (other than the company they work for).
Who is your target audience?
Front line and non-managerial staff (those who are computer based 24/7) and leaders
What’s the number 1 thing listeners love about your podcast?
They get more familiar with others who work in an organization, and even an entire department.
Are you monetizing this podcast? If so, how?
Not at all.
What advice would you give a new podcaster?
Go for it. It only gets better.
